Hawaiians have a deep connection and understanding of the ocean. Our pendent is styled exactly like the Makau used in ancient times. During the early eras, locals would create fishhooks out of various materials – bones, wood, coral and stone. Today, These fish hook necklaces represent everything good: strength, prosperity & good luck.

While Black Palm can be complicated & difficult to work with. The hard fibers contrast with the soft body of the wood, to make this tropical variety.

Everything I make is handcrafted, as such, slight variations in: size, shape, and color are to be expected.
